Certification is a paid process open to both individuals and instituitions.
There are two ways in which Individuals can obtain certification: attend the Teacher's Training Courses (either the 100 hr course for Basic Certification, the 200 hr Course for Intermediate Level or the 500 hr course for Advanced Certification), or choose the On-line Certification option. Participants in the course will be graded according to the Grading system outlined.
For Institutional Certification,representatives of the Institution will take an on-line interview (through Video calls) at a mutually agreed time or provide adequate information regarding their capabilities. Grading will depend on the facilities available and the performance of the representatives during the interview
.

We maintain a world-wide Yoga Teachers' Registry to recognize and promote teachers with training that meets our standards. Teachers certified by us are authorized to use the initials "CYT®" (Certified Yoga Teacher) after their name. We issue logos for enrolled teachers to use in their resumes, advertising and business endeavors.
